Midweek Mask Talk: GARNIER Sakura White Pinkish Radiance Intensive Whitening Mask

Happy Deepavali, Ladies! Today, I have a short one for you out there. It's from the new Garnier Sakura White series. Before Garnier came out with this series, it has never cross my mind that sakura has any nutrient/benefit to us, human, apart from its beauty and fragrance. The truth is, these cherry blossoms are rich in antioxidants and they are also anti-inflammatory. And the most important benefit that is the key selling point of this product is its whitening effect.

屠妖节快乐！今天就来个简短的点评吧。这是Garnier新出的Sakura White 系列。在这之前，我从未想过樱花除了美和香以外，其实对人也有好处。事实是，樱花含有丰富的抗氧化成分，而且它可帮助消炎。最重要的也是这产品的头号卖点，就是它的美白功效。

But I did not realize any major whitening result after using it for one time. Though I have to give credit to Garnier for using such good quality material which allows the mask to fit perfectly to the face. And another good thing about this mask is that it does not leave the face feeling sticky after use. It also has a nice scent to it which goes for all the other product in the same series.

不过， 我用了一次后， 并没有发现有明显的美白效果。 虽然如此，我还是得给Garnier打星，他们采用的面膜品质很好，敷在脸上超合的。还有啊，用完以后，脸不会觉得粘粘的。面膜里淡淡的香味，还不错。

The mask is pink. 

The retail price is RM9.90 per piece. It's not the cheapest. And I think I would only repurchase it if I'm desperate and it is the only mask available on the rack. 

市场售价一片是RM9.90。它不是最便宜的面膜。你觉得我会再买这款面膜吗？假设市场上只剩下这款面膜，其他的都没有了，那我就会买咯。

Midweek Mask Talk: GARNIER Intensive 3 in 1 Whitening Essence Mask

Hi ladies, this week I've tried the old Garnier Intensive 3 in 1 Whitening Essence Mask. Which 3 in 1 you may ask. It's Scutellaria extract, pure lemon essence and Tanggula glacier water. As written on the back of the package, Scutellaria is a kind of mint, can reduce melanin production which helps to lighten the skin tone while the acidic pure lemon essence helps to remove dead skin cell and brightening. The highly nourishing  glacier water from Tanggula, Tibet, is to boost hydration and lock it in our skin cell. With all these 3 ingredients combined, the skin will be fairer, more radiant and hydrated. 

嗨，姐妹们！这星期试用的面膜有卡尼尔的Intensive三合一Whitening Essence Mask。哪三样呢？ 就是黄苓，纯柠檬精华和唐古拉山冰川水。包装后面写着：黄苓是一种薄荷，可减少黑色素的产生，以帮助提亮肤色，而柠檬可帮助去除死皮和美白。那含有丰富矿物质的唐古拉山冰川水是补水和锁水。这三样成份混合在一起，皮肤会变得更白、更亮丽，也更保湿。

So, here's my first impression. The fabric is very soft and it's quite hard to manage. The fitting is good. It does feel like a second skin. And the size of the mask is also adequate. But it dried out within 10 minutes which I think is because of 2 reasons: one, the absorption of the fabric is not as strong as other mask that I've used and; two, there is only 19ml of essence in the package. Whereas other mask usually has 25ml and some even has 30ml. As for the result, I'll let you be the judge. I have a before and after photo below which is taken at the same spot with the same lighting. 

我对这面膜的第一印象是布质很软、很贴，可是很难拿捏。大小刚刚好。不过，十分钟后就干透了。我觉得是因为两个原因： 一， 布质的吸水力较弱；二，面膜里只有19毫升的精华。 一般面膜都会有25毫升，一些甚至有30毫升。 至于它的功效呢，我就让你自己来评评吧！以下是我用前，用后的照片，都在同一个地方和同一种灯光下拍的。

Garnier actually recommends it to be used twice a week and the skin will appear fairer and more radiant day after day. Exactly how long you will need? I seriously don't know. I've tried 1 and I did not really notice any lightening of my skin tone. Anyway, it's RM7.90. Not the cheapest but still affordable. 

卡尼尔其实建议大家一周用两次。皮肤就会一天比一天白。要多久呢？这一点我可不知道咯。试了一次其实不觉得我的肤色有白到。这面膜一片是RM7.90，绝对不是市场上最便宜的，不过还瞒实惠的。

GARNIER Pure Active Fruit Energy Energizing Facial Foam

Hi everyone! How was your long Raya weekend? Hope you wasn't too busy having fun and didn't get enough rest. Otherwise, your body and skin are gonna be mad at you! Pimples will be poppin' out soon. Well, my skin has always been a drama queen and pimple is a regular visitor. But I did managed to keep my skin clear for the past 1 month with the help of some salicylic acid. I've been using the new Garnier Pure Active Fruit Energy Energizing Facial Foam which is full of Vitamin C from Grapefruit and Pomegranate. This cleanser is formulated for acne prone skin. It helps to prevent acne and brightens skin. Acne and brightening has to come together in my opinion because acne problem comes with acne scars that is very unpleasant to the eyes. Getting rid of the acne only takes about a week or two but the acne scar, it takes months!! 

嗨，大家的开斋节假期过得如何啊？应该都不会忙着玩而忽略了休息吧。是的话，身体和皮肤都应该会很不爽了，痘痘也就快长出来了。我的皮肤一直都有痘痘的困扰，可是自从我用了这支洗脸霜以后，已经一个多月没长痘痘了。这是因为洗脸霜里添加了水杨酸和柚子及红石榴提炼出来的维他命C。这款洗脸霜是专为痘痘肌所打造的，它可帮助抗痘和美白。一直以来我都觉得痘痘和美白是息息相关的，去除痘痘一两个星期就搞定，可是痘疤就要几个月以上。

So, the ideal thing to do is to prevent acne. Salicylic acid helps to exfoliate the skin which unclog pores and prevent lesions. A clogged pore is where bacteria builds up easily and develop into an acne. But salicylic acid can be a bit drying to the skin and furthermore, this is a foam cleaner. After using it for a month, my skin is perfectly fine and there is not drying issue. This is because the concentration of salicylic acid in this facial foam is pretty mild so we don't have to worry about the side effects.

所以说最好的还是抗痘。水杨酸可帮助去角质，避免毛孔阻塞，也防止它变逗。阻塞的毛孔容易有细菌生长，然后发炎变痘痘。虽然水杨酸可以防止痘痘，可是它对皮肤干燥，这洗脸霜还要是泡沫型的。还好我用了一个多月都没什么问题，因为产品里的水杨酸成分并不高。

Just add a little water and the cleanser will turn into a hand full of foam

On its cleansing action, it is very effective in removing dirt and oil off the face. As for its brightening effect, I did not notice any drastic change in my skin tone. On the contrary, I did not notice any darkening on my skin either. So, I can't be sure about the brightening effect because my sunblock has whitening effect too.

在洗脸方面， 它的确可以很有效地把灰尘和油脂洗掉。至于它的美白功效呢， 我不觉得我的肤色有明显地改善；相反的，我也没有发现肤色有变黑， 所以我不敢肯定，而且我用的防晒膏也有美白功效。

Anyway, I'm very happy with this cleanser because I have been pimple-free for a month. In my context of life, that is some major accomplishment. By the way, this cleanser is only RM6.50 for 50ml and RM11.90 for 100ml. It's available at all Guardian, Watsons, pharmacies and departmental stores.

无论如何，可以一个月都不长痘痘我已经很高兴了。在我的生活字典里， 那时很大不了了。还有，这洗脸霜只售RM6.50/50ml， 大的100ml是RM11.90。在Guardian, Watsons，各大药行和商场都有销售。

GARNIER BB Eye Roll-on

The obsession of BB cream has gone to another level with Garnier. I discovered this BB Eye Roll On many months ago. I've been testing it for a few months now. I was hoping that I will reduce my dark eye circle because it contains pure lemon essence. Sadly, I did not notice any improvement.

Garnier 已经把BB 霜升值到另一个层次了。我在几个月前发现到这支BB Eye Roll On。本来还想说可以淡化我的黑眼圈，可是用了几个月了，都好像没有明显的效果。真可惜！

The product came in this box with all the description 

There has been a new wave of make up with skincare essentials in the market lately and this is BB Eye Roll-On is one of the examples. It provides light coverage to the under eye area and at the meantime, helps reduce dark eye circle and puffiness, hydrates and tightens the skin. It only comes in one color and it has an orange undertone.

近来市场上有越来越多含有保养成份的化妆品，这支BB Eye Roll On 就是其中之一。它不但可以遮瑕，还可以帮助淡化黑眼圈和水肿，保湿和紧肤。这支BB Eye Roll On 只有一个颜色，底色是桔色。

As you can see from the photo, it's like a pen with roller ball on top. The packaging is a bit cheesy. It's just a light bronze color plastic tube with sticker labels on. It's pretty light and convenient to carry in your handbag. So, you can touch you your make up during mid-day in the office or before heading for happy hour or dinner after work. And the roller ball does help in reducing puffiness of my eye bag in the morning.

从照片上大家可以看到它是一支笔，顶端有粒钢球。其实包装还蛮烂的！它只在塑料上粘了有label 的黏子。可是，它就很轻，可随意带在包包里。中午可以补妆，放工约会前也可以补补。多方便啊！而且那钢球可以消水肿。

Overall, this product is affordable and gives medium coverage. The retail price is only RM 24.90. It's worth a try!

整体来说这产品瞒便宜，只是RM 24.90，而且遮暇度也不错。值得一式！
